Defining Your Cultural Identity


Defining Your Cultural Identity is Culture Story’s first online course. It is targeted to elementary-school-aged children, and it teaches how to discover your heritage, grow from it, and share it with others. The course includes a reading of Alyssa London’s book, Journey of the Freckled Indian. It includes group discussion questions, an art activity, native Tlingit song and dance, and how to use affirmations to internalize your culture story. This course can be used by elementary school teachers, students, and homeschool groups to help increase their level of cultural awareness.
